Sunday Bible Studies – Adults

The Gospel of Matthew – Main Level Conference Room – Led by Ken Austin.  Study the first gospel of the New Testament, the story of Jesus as told by St. Matthew, the apostle and tax collector.  While oriented to be a witness to the Jews, Matthew still strongly emphasizes that the Messiah has come to establish the Kingdom of God for all people.

Jeremiah: Demanding Love – Lower Level Room 118 – Led by Bill  & Anne Harpster.   The ministry to which God called Jeremiah was challenging: to proclaim God’s demanding love to Israel, during an already difficult time. Yet with this burden, God also gave him a gift — the gift of His presence. Learn how the example of Jeremiah’s rich relationship with God can encourage each of us to become more deeply open to God than ever before.  This series ends August 28.   No class on September 3.

“Paul’s Journey Letters” will be returning September 10.   This study/discussion follows the dramatic unfolding story of the apostle Paul’s life and work in the context of 1 & 2 Thessalonians and 1 & 2 Corinthians. In the Creative Arts Room, Lower Level.  Returning and new participants welcome!
