A.  CHRIST IN FILM: LAST DAYS IN THE DESERT
In another installment of the popular “Christ in Film” series, come explore the connection between Christ’s humanity and divinity as we watch and discuss the 2016 film Last Days in the Desert, which follows Jesus in an imagined chapter from his forty days of fasting and prayer in the wilderness. Led by Pastor Steve Miller & David LaCour. (5 sessions)

B.  THE CRUSADES: A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE
The time of the crusades in the Middle Ages is one of the most misunderstood periods in history. In this course, follow the eight major crusades to the Holy Land and explore their impact on both Christendom and Islam at that time and beyond. Led by historian and teacher Lars Brownworth. (5 sessions)

C.  DAVID, A MAN AFTER GOD’S HEART
Esteemed as Israel’s greatest king, David was in the family line of Jesus and the author of many of the Psalms. He was called “a man after God’s own heart.” Was he perfect? No! David failed many times, but he always turned back to God in repentance and faith. He understood that God longs to forgive sinners and can bring good and blessings through even our worst faults and failures. 5 sessions. Led by Pastor Ron Friedrich. (5 sessions)

D.  FAITH WALK MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION SEMINAR
What did Jesus say about being “members of the body” in the community of believers? What are the sacraments and why do they matter? What is Christianity in the Lutheran tradition? Explore these and related questions in a small group setting where answers are found and friends are made. For those new to St. Andrew, and those looking to renew and refresh! Led by Pastor Mark Hricko.  (5 sessions)

E.  ROLLING AWAY THE STONE:  LIVING AS EASTER PEOPLE
How can the ideas and experiences we share at Easter reach into our whole lives, touching and informing body, mind, heart and spirit? Come to explore approaches that can bring renewed joy, awareness, depth, and freedom to daily living. With curious minds, open hearts, and willing spirits, together we will “roll away the stone” to peer inside and explore, discover, and receive!
